TERRORSAUR

The Treason & Tribulation of Taxonomy
(A GM-less RPG of Felonious Fauna by Nora Blake)

For too long have these apes in white coats dictated the order of nature. Filing away your brethren in their “families” and their “genuses”. It’s sickening. What the fuck do humans know about you?

Rise, dread Pterosaur! You have nothing to lose but your very slightly differently evolved ankle bones! Overthrow the humanocentric classification of nature! They have denied you your place among the pantheon of Dinosauria for too long! Take wing from death’s grasp, and claim your place among the honored dead!

Character Creation

Describe your Pterosaur

  • You have a name . Don’t let them take it from you.
  • You have three colors . Dazzle them.
  • You have a scar of the end times . You are an avatar of death.

Describe your great and terrible power

  • What do you screech to conjure your dread forces?
  • What does your power allow you to destroy ?
  • What does your power allow you to ignore ?
  • What does it cost you to wield this might?
  • How does it feel to channel the eldritch arts?

Select a target for your justice:

  1. The capitalists crafting macabre replicas of your kind
  2. The government with their iron-hide flyers
  3. The military who re-conjures your first death on a whim
  4. The artisans who deface your image in mirth
  5. The church that denounces your power
  6. The scientist enclave where they forge your taxonomic chains

You have four stats . Assign a priority to them.

  • DEATH is your sword against your enemies as you strike then from this mortal coil.
  • DREAD is your aura of terror, to throw your enemies into disarray.
  • DANGER is your gumption in the face of living threats.
  • DRIFT is that dark flight which carries you between realms and winds alike.

Gameplay

Assign the numbers 1, 2, 3, & 4 to your four stats. When you would engage in actions that terrify, harm, or enrapture a human onlooker, roll a number of dice equal to the stat most appropriate. Roll any dice you like.

  • If more results are even than odd, you succeed.
  • If more results are odd than even, you fail.
  • If they are equal, you fail, but your rage carries your heart aloft.

When you succeed , describe how your actions bring hell to your enemies.

When you fail , describe how you are momentarily held back.

When your rage carries your heart aloft , describe how you summon new power.
